Vidya Shakti Initiative For Women

upGrad Foundation, in collaboration with upGrad Campus, brings in the 5th Cohort of Vidya Shakti Initiative for women with three certification courses. This initiative shall allow the awardees to avail one-on-one mentorship to career-related guidance and interaction with industry experts and women role models. The upGrad foundation will also assist these learners in job preparation and placements.

Under the said Initiative, the selected student

need not pay the program fees of Rs. 47,000/-

as this is sponsored by upGrad Foundation
Selected Students would need to pay a Refundable*

Fee of Rs. 2,000/-

when they register for their chosen course

EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA

The Vidya Shakti Initiative is open to First-generation women learners, Women learners belonging to the underprivileged section of society. The combined annual family income must be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum or those belonging to Below Poverty Line families and have BPL ration card.

  • Women learners in their 3rd or final year of undergraduate degree
  • Women learners who have completed their undergraduate degree
  • Women learners who have completed or are pursuing their postgraduate degree
Necessary documents will need to be submitted to establish and authenticate eligibility


APPLICATION PROCESS
  1. Filling up of Application form
  2. Initial shortlisting of applicants based on their education background and financial
  3. background. Preference will be given to first-generation learners.
  4. Shortlisted candidates will have a virtual round of interview.
  5. The final selection criteria will be determined by a combination of academic excellence, the clarity of one's career vision, and the degree to which the chosen course aligns with that vision.
  6. The upGrad Foundation will have the discretion to make the final selection and grant the scholarship.
