To train the faculty and teachers in designing, delivering and managing digital education, upGrad Foundation in collaboration with upGrad has curated a Faculty Development Programme to be delivered online by esteemed faculties to improve the quality of education.

Target Audience: Faculty & teaching professionals from higher education institutes in India 

Program Aim:

• To sensitize teachers about new concepts in digital teaching and assessment methods
• To develop knowledge and skills required for performing the role of a competent and effective teacher, administrator, researcher and mentor
• To update knowledge using modern information tools.

 Learning Outcomes:

• designing / modifying content to make it engaging and effective for online programs
• delivering via a mix of asynchronous and synchronous channels
• choosing suitable learning platforms (LMS)
• choosing the right production and post-production tools according to the time and resources available
• planning and managing assessments (grading, exams etc)
• ensuring compliance with UGC guidelines

 Important Dates:

• Programme duration: 2 weeks (19 November- 3 December) The contact hours are spread over 14 days, implying NOT more than 2 hours per day.
• Registration Start Date: 21st October
• Registration Closing Date: 13th November

Course Delivery
Fully online recorded plus interactive course delivered by eminent faculty.

Please note there is no registration fee for the inaugural cohort. 50 Participants will be selected on first-cum-first-serve basis. Selected participants will be communicated through email. 
The current programme will allow faculty & teaching professionals to gain an essential understanding of E-learning and will improve their online teaching skills.

As an experienced professor, you are extremely adept at teaching in traditional classrooms, as in, the in-person/online environment. However, several studies have pointed to the phenomenon of online learning taking over by storm and nestling its place in this day and age.
Understandably, the online teaching phenomenon can prove to be a challenge for most instructors, regardless of their experience in the teaching world. That's where this course comes in. It will help you develop a better understanding of the dynamics, delivery, presentation and construction of an online course.
